VANESSA ESLAIN works in painting, printmaking and computer graphics, drawing, sculpture, architecture, interior design, photography. She studied architecture at the WSSiP, then interior design at the UITP in Lodz, from which she graduated with a bachelor's degree with honors, and is currently studying at the UITP graphic design department in Lodz.
PAINTING - her paintings use a variety of techniques from oil, acrylic, spray, imprint with brushes, rollers, spatulas. Formally, he uses representational, realistic, expressionist and abstract motifs in varied colors. He is eager to combine realism with abstraction. A new form of presentation are 3D spatial paintings based on traditional painting bases, but extending the image into the 3rd dimension. Various materials and techniques are combined in these works: foams, putty, acrylic masses, adhesives, resins, fiberglass, paints and sprays, and even gold flakes.
PHOTOGRAPHY-In photography, he seeks a link between reality and magic, combining realistic attributes taken out of the context of the environment, sometimes using staged arrangements and decorations prepared by himself, self-designed and made costumes. He looks for unusual light and framing to give the photos a soft, surreal atmosphere. In representational photography, he tries to avoid digital processing. The photographs mainly operate only in black and white, sometimes sepia or dominant colors.
Recently, Vanessa has also been working on short stop-motion films with a surrealistic atmosphere, interestingly combined with expressive music. These films resemble the realization of atmospheric, decadent music videos.
COMPUTER GRAPHICS-In contrast to traditional photography, in digital graphics it is excited by the
possibilities to achieve abstract effects, interesting textures and tonal colors, as well as visualizations
computer images of an architectural nature.
ACTIVITY -Vanessa has participated in art and art competitions several times. Several of her works are in the Textile Museum in Lodz. She won an award in a national photography contest. She has had several school painting exhibitions. She has prepared utility fabric designs for an Italian-Polish clothing company. She designed a swimming pool in a mansion near Warsaw made of glass mosaics produced on special order at the Spanish Opio Color factory. She designed and made costumes and decorations for the international school theater , "Titus Andronicus". Her paintings appear in private collections in Poland and abroad, and increasingly accompany new arrangements of apartments and single-family houses, complementing architectural designs.
